Beautiful homes,
drawn whole.

An engineering-led design studio for the homes of South India — from the first sketch to the day the lights turn on, under one roof.

What Feÿre is

A home is a system. We make sure it is also a poem.

Feÿre Art & Design Studio designs and builds beautiful homes in South India — rooted in the architectural memory of Kerala, Chikmagaluru, Bangalore and Chettinad, and engineered for the way people live now.

We are not the third specialist on your project. We are the studio that draws the house, designs its interiors, lays out its electrics and plumbing, routes its air, sites its solar, tunes its acoustics, and wires its automation — under one roof, in one taste.

"Most homes are built by twelve hands that never meet. We are the table they meet at."

If you have ever inherited a half-finished house, fought with a contractor over a switchboard, or watched the AC ducts ruin a ceiling that took six months to plaster — you already understand why we built Feÿre.

One studio · every system

A home, drawn whole.

Architecture and interiors are the visible half of a home. The other half is hidden inside the walls — electrical loads, water lines, supply air, acoustic treatment, solar arrays, automation buses. We draw all of it, before anyone lifts a hammer. One drawing set. One taste. One studio responsible for the result.

The four regions we draw from

South India is not a style. It is a library.

A Kerala courtyard is not the same as a Chettinad thinnai is not the same as a Chikmagaluru hill verandah. We study them as a vocabulary — and let the brief, the site and the family choose which sentences belong in your house.

REF / 01
Kerala
naalukettu, sloped tile, rain
Steep tiled roofs that throw the monsoon clear. Central courtyards open to the sky. Polished oxide floors. Verandahs that own the house's outer edge.
REF / 02
Chikmagaluru
hill house, low pitch, slow rooms
Houses built into the slope. Long sight lines through coffee plantations. Fireplaces for the cold months. Low-pitched roofs against the hill rain.
REF / 03
Bangalore
modern courtyard, hidden systems
Compact urban plots that still find room for a tree and the sky. Modernist envelopes carrying solar, EV, automation — without ever showing the wires.
REF / 04
Chettinad
pillar, thinnai, Athangudi
Tall pillared facades, raised verandah seats, handmade Athangudi tile, teak and Burma-teak doors. The grand front, the quiet inner courtyards.
The seven things we draw

Seven disciplines, drawn together.

Each one is a discipline a different consultant usually owns — and a different contractor usually breaks. We hold all seven on the same drawing set, so the house arrives as one thought, not seven arguments.

DISC / 01
Architecture
Plans, sections, elevations. The shape of the house, the way light enters it, the way the roof meets the rain.
— concept · DD · GFC drawings
DISC / 02
Interiors
Joinery, materials, light, the placement of every door knob. Bespoke kitchens, wardrobes, and the small honest details no catalogue carries.
— scheme · joinery · finishes
DISC / 03
MEP
Mechanical, electrical, plumbing. Where every wire goes. Where every pipe terminates. Drawn before the plaster, never chased after.
— single-line · load calcs · routing
DISC / 04
HVAC
Air conditioning, ventilation, ceiling fans that don't fight the AC. Routed inside the architecture, never bolted on after.
— heat load · duct routing · diffuser layout
DISC / 05
Solar & Energy
Rooftop solar that the roof was designed for. EV charging in the carport. Battery storage that doesn't sit in a corridor.
— kWp sizing · BESS · EV provision
DISC / 06
Acoustics
Rooms that sound the way they look. Music rooms, home theatres, the bedroom that doesn't carry the kitchen's voices.
— RT60 targets · treatment plan
DISC / 07
AV & Automation
Speakers, screens, lighting scenes, climate control — designed into the architecture so the technology disappears, and only the experience remains. One app, one taste, no clutter.
— rack layout · scene programming · service paths
DRAWING / INTERIOR-PERSPECTIVE — a living room, drawn
Drawing — interiors

We start every space the same way — by hand.

Before a wall is built or a piece of joinery is ordered, the room exists on paper. A perspective, a plan, an elevation — sketched, scratched, redrawn. It's how we think out loud. And it's how we make sure the room already feels right before anyone lifts a hammer.

The sketch is the first promise we make to a house: that it has been imagined, not assembled.

DRAWING / SECTION A-A — section, with light
Drawing — architecture

A house is a section through light and life.

We draw buildings the way their inhabitants will feel them — staircases climbing, slabs catching the morning, a tree leaning into the threshold. The architectural section is where the brief, the site and the family first meet on the same page.

Every Feÿre project begins with a section. It is the most honest drawing in architecture.

How a Feÿre home is made

Six quiet steps. One result.

Every home takes its own time, but the path is the same: a conversation, a drawing, a model, a build, a tuning, a handover. No surprises in the middle. No subcontractor calling you at 9pm about a switchboard.

Conversation

You tell us about the family, the land, the dream, the budget. We listen. We tell you what is possible — honestly.

a long first call

Concept

Sketches. Sections. A small set of options, each with a clear identity. We choose one together.

on paper, first

Integrated drawing

Architecture and every system drawn together — MEP, HVAC, solar, acoustics, AV. One book, no surprises.

the whole house, once

Build

Vetted contractors, weekly progress, every change recorded. We are on site, not on call.

we show up

Tuning

The room that needs more light. The kitchen drawer that wants to close softer. The AC that learns the morning.

the year after

Handover

An O&M book for every system. A care guide. A studio that picks up the phone, for as long as you own the house.

we don't disappear
Who draws the studio

An engineer, drawing homes.

Feÿre is run by an engineer. Not by an architect, not by a contractor — by a computer scientist who fell in love with the way South Indian homes are built, and could not stop thinking about all the ways their making goes wrong.

The engineering eye is a real advantage in a house. A house is, after all, the most complicated machine most people will ever own — a system of overlapping systems, with hundreds of dependencies, all of which have to land at the same moment for the house to actually work. That kind of thing is what engineers are trained to think about.

We bring a designer's taste for the regional vernaculars of South India, and an engineer's discipline for how the whole thing has to come together. That is the entire reason Feÿre exists.
